I feel a sense of wonder towards the history of computing: memories of electrical essentialism; nostalgia for lost promises that technology would set us free.
My mother wore a tattoo of forget-me-nots on her back. As a child, I found
this fascinating -- the desire to hold on to memory engraved into the body.
This documentation represents an iteration of my 6 month memory ephemera assemblage incorporating the Commodore 64.
The signature blue color connected to my memory of my mother's forget-me-nots. I created an arm for
the computer to reach out, fingertips of LEDs controlled through the Commodore's
User port. This a beacon of lost time, blue electronic flowers that reach for my mother.
